Tunquén House by L2C

Sitting 50 meters above sea level on the Chilean coastline, Tunquén House is located 90 minutes from the country’s capital Santiago. Designed by architecture firm L2C, the house is part of a self-sustaining community in Tunquén that produces its own energy, water, and features its own waste management system. Facing on to the Pacific Ocean, the house offers views from most of the rooms and includes a walled courtyard that is protected from strong ocean winds. White-painted concrete is used both externally and internally, along with timber furnishings, making for a clean and relaxed environment. A separate outhouse also sits on the property, and houses solar panels, water tanks, sewage treatment and recycling facilities. via High Snobiety
