Kanye West and Paul McCartney Come Together for Possible Album
Who's the walrus now?
The New York Post's Page Six reports that Kanye West has secretly been recording tracks with Paul McCartney "that could develop into an album," and if anything ever comes of it, we'd love to be a fly on the wall for the moment when they decide who gets top billing.
West showed up for Sir Paul's show in Los Angeles last week, and Page Six says the Beatle has said he wants to work with a rapper. So it must be true!
Making it not seem so true: Page Six says one track that's coming along nicely is called “Piss on My Grave.” Still time to change that one, fellas.
There's a Wikipedia page's worth of precedent for McCartney working with fellow megastar musicians in duets and collaborations. "Ebony and Ivory" was just one of two songs McCartney did with Stevie Wonder on the 1982 release "Tug of War," and people tend to forget that Sir Paul was on Michael Jackson's Thriller with "The Girl is Mine."
He's also done duets with Tony Bennett, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, George Michael, Brian Wilson and others.
But we're not saying he's a gold-digger. via Mashable
